Check your sh*t before you eat sh*t! Skates ultimately are fallible pieces of hardware that get beat up, causing pieces to move and shift. This means that things come loose like your toestops and wheels, and these can fall off while you’re skating, causing a pretty nasty wipe out! Protect yourself by taking 30 seconds to check your skates before shredding. Here’s the things I check everytime! CHECK BEFORE SKATING: 1. Toestops: Check those babies to make sure they’re really tight. Use a skate tool to get that nut as right as you can (or Allen wrench depending on your type of toestop). 2. Trucks: Make sure your nut is properly on your trucks and your trucks are the level of tightness that you prefer. Trucks that are uneven in tightness, too loose, or too tight for your comfort can really throw off your skating! 3. Wheels: Take a peek at those wheel nuts to ensure they’re properly secured but not too tight that the wheel doesn’t move. You want a nice middle ground where the wheel can spin freely but isn’t loosey goosey on the truck. Hope this gave ya a few more ways to keep your body safe and your mind at ease ☺️ What else do you do before skating? . . . . . . . . . #skatecoach #howtoskate #learntoskate #adultskating #quadskaters #rollerskaters #skatetutorial #skatesafe #beginnerrollerskater #beginnerrollerskaters
