Even as a supporter and spectator, @thesfmarathon (coming on July 24) is a fantastic way to get a glimpse of SF’s iconic spots and discover lesser-known treasures mile by mile. • Miles 1-3 • After the race kicks off, coffee and breakfast are essential. Pay a visit to @reveillecoffee in North Beach for a dreamy latte made with locally roasted beans, or head to Fort Mason for a cup of single-origin coffee at LGBTQ-founded @equatorcoffees. • Miles 4-15 • Bring a blanket or chair to post up in the Presidio. With views of the runners and the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll want to take some time to sit back, enjoy, and cheer on the athletes. If you’re feeling inspired, take a hike on one of their many gorgeous trails. • Miles 16-20 • Now that you are ready for brunch, enjoy the brisk summer weather in Richmond with a bite to go. @pizzetta211 is perfect if you’re craving a hot, fresh slice, or head to @devilsteeth for a delicious sandwich. Enjoy a stroll through the beautifully lush Golden Gate Park and cheer on the runners as they hit miles 17 through 20. • Miles 20-24 • Peruse a few locally owned shops and unique eateries in a few of SF’s iconic neighborhoods, like the nostalgic Haight Ashbury, the funky Mission District, or the quaint Potrero Hill. • Miles 25-26 • Cheer on the athletes as they head toward the finish line on the Embarcadero to complete the race and celebrate. #PulseoftheCity #FSSanFrancisco #SFMarathon
