Comet C/2024 G3 (Atlas). Swipe to zoom. Taken this evening, 1/17/25 at 5:42 pm. I could not see it with my naked eyes. I could not see it through my lens. Just barely saw it on my 3rd pass on my 30” HD monitor. Sky app was bouncing all over the place, so I used Venus as a reference point, and aimed down toward the horizon, and slightly north. Panned around the lighthouse till I knew the comet was below the horizon. Shot 50 frames, and caught it on two. Made a panoramic, then cropped to fit on Instagram. Cool.
