Strawberry Sakura Latte aka strawberry cherry blossom milk. This “latte” is similar to one of the Starbucks Japan’s cherry blossom themed products. The word latte in Asia tends to refer to all drinks with milk and don’t all necessarily have coffee. I noticed that most cherry blossom flavored foods seem to use extracts for flavoring and strawberry or beets for the pink coloring, so I did the same. Of course you can use fresh strawberries or strawberry syrup, but freeze dried is really easy and has a strong flavor and color payoff. They also make the milk thicker as it absorbs a lot of liquid, so add water if you want a thinner drink. The cherry blossom syrup can be found on Amazon! For one 12 oz cup (with ice): Blend 3/4 cup milk of choice with 1/4 cup freeze dried strawberries and 1 tbsp cherry blossom syrup. Option to add another 1/4 cup water if you want a thinner drink. Pour over ice and add more syrup or other sweetener as needed. #sakuralatte #cherryblossomdrink #strawberrysakuralatte #cherryblossomlatte #sakuramilk #cherryblossomlover #starbucksjapansakura #japanesefoodblogger
