I met @doctorsuevarma when I organized a gala for @habitatforhumanity International @mo_newyork back in 2013. She was our lovely emcee! As a fellow South Asian, I was in awe of her already illustrious career then and I’m in total admiration of her now! Maybe I didn’t realize the importance of mental health, boundaries, mindfulness as much back then. As I advance in my life and career, her words of wisdom caught in passing on TV or through IG always make me reflect and sometimes resonate through the day. It was an honor to attend an intimate event for her book Practical Optimism last month at @veronicabeard UES and to now read it at my happiest place, the beach.
