Wildlife Photographer of the Year is almost here! 🙌 📷 Will you be coming to visit this year? Let’s take a sneak peek at some of the entries: 1. The snow stag by Joshua Cox. Joshua and his father had been following the deer in Richmond Park, London from a safe distance when one stopped and turned to look at them. Richmond Park is home to herds of red and fallow deer who help manage the grassland habitat through grazing. 2. The octopus case by Samuel Sloss. While muck diving, Samuel spotted this octopus hiding in a shell. He waited for the octopus to open the shell and reveal its colourful body inside. An octopus will find, clean and carry shells, to protect their soft bodies when foraging in sand or mud. 3. Polar frame by Dmitry Kokh. Dmitry would never have believed he would see a polar bear gazing out of the window of an abandoned house on the uninhabited island of Kolyuchin. Binoculars revealed that over 20 polar bears were exploring the ghost town, which has been abandoned since 1992.
