Sometimes as I’m wrapping up a piece, doing the last touch ups, a name pops up into my mind. I‘d like to think that they are introducing themselves to me.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Created intuitively and organically by the artist, Neman’s ceramic sculptures center around the human form. While the visible hand of the artist gives a primitive, impressionistic effect, these works are also innately feminine or masculine. The Ojai-based sculptor continues to explore color and depth as she evolves her practice.
