I did not sit down to design these chairs. I needed to clear my head. I needed to move without thinking, to let the hand go where it wanted before the mind tried to shape it.
I started with scraps from the studio. Wood that had already lived a life. Surfaces touched by old colours, wax, resin, dust, accidents. Nothing precious. Nothing planned. I built the first shapes almost without looking. I followed a rhythm more than a sketch.
The material began to speak before I did. Marks appeared, then got covered, then came back through the layers. Lines turned into gestures. Gestures turned into structure. Sometimes something collapsed and showed me what it wanted to become. Sometimes the ugliness was the beginning of the truth.
These chairs come from that place. A place where control drops away and instinct takes over. They are not perfect. They are not trying to be. They carry the energy of the moment they were made, the hesitations, the mistakes, the adrenaline, the small victories.
Each chair is its own sentence written without looking, but with intention behind the breath. A little chaotic, a little raw, completely honest.
