Tomorrow the very first UCI Gravel World Championship @gravelwch_veneto2022 will start here, in Vicenza. This year hasn’t been what I expected at all but when I thought I might try some gravel racing as a low pressure way to return to racing after surgery, I discovered something beautiful, new and exciting. The support of @movistar_team @canyon @sramroad @zippspeed @abus_cycling @fizikofficial @elite_cycling and all the other sponsors has been incredible and I certainly wouldn’t be here and racing tomorrow without them. I know I still have A LOT to learn and improvements to make in this discipline - tomorrow will be my second ever off-road race - but I really think this is the start of a new adventure and I’m just excited to see where it leads.
