I have always loved growing older. I love the comfort and confidence. The knowledge, the openness. The self acceptance. The conversations. The way it feels to be me. It wasn’t always like that. I was never that great at being young. The last few years have been some of the best feeling years of my life. I’ve worked to get here. The person I am, the one I’ve become and the one I continue to become. It’s a ride this life and it can be bumpy as hell. To answer my grandma’s question “Janelle, what are you doing?” Who the hell knows but I’m out here doing it and it’s mine. Here’s to another year of quieting the voices inside that say that’s not enough. Till next year ❤️‍🔥🌹
