Our very special #SawyerAmbassador spotlight is Gabaccia Moreno. She has a B.A. in Theater and Anthropology from SUNY College at Buffalo and an M.A. in Performance Studies from New York University. Her roots stem from Veracruz, Mexico, where she grew up surrounded by ranchers and other outdoorsmen that fueled her passion for wildlife. She serves as National Monuments Fellow at Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project, where she ensures excluded communities have access to the involvement and process of protecting our water and land. She’s also the Executive Director of The Outdoorist Oath, an organization creating educational tools and models to encourage people to advocate for where we live. Gabaccia also acts as Director of Social Responsibility on the board of Hiking My Feelings. You can find Gabaccia writing, doing yoga, or partaking in just about any activity in the outdoors.
