FOR THE WORLD WE'RE GONNA MAKE. . On this day, two years ago, my tiny, fragile premature triplets were discharged from hospital. . Our boys spent the first 7 weeks of their lives under hospital care, looked after by incredible NICU teams and snoozing in their incubators until they were strong enough to come home to Mummy and Daddy. . A Neonatal journey is brutal, multiply it by three and the resilience required to make it through is second to none. . From being denied access to them due to Co-vid, relocating our own lives up to Northampton where our surrogate gave birth to finally bringing them home into our arms, this was a moment in time, forever etched upon my heart. . I speak with complete honesty when I say I certainly went through a form of Post Natal Depression when my babies came home. The separation in their early days cut deep, the reality of not sharing genetics haunted me and the frustration that nobody, and I mean nobody in my support network could understand the insecurities and fears of an Intended Mother to donor concieved, surrogacy carried triplets shook me. . I am so very thankful to have made it through those days, humbled by my boys and their journey, grateful for my own grit to survive and then thrive. . What a ride it has been.
