Sometimes things happen and you can’t help but wonder if there is a deeper meaning to the situation or complete coincidence? As you guys know I spend a lot of time on the road away from my family. Especially during September and October. The two days before I arrowed this bull, I was feeling pretty damn homesick and missed my girls so much. Especially my little hunting buddy Lula. I honestly almost left camp to head home a little bit early to surprise them. After deciding to do one more morning hunt, I was lucky enough to Connect on this bull. Ladybugs have always been Lulu‘s favorite bug. We used to spend hours in our front yard collecting them out of all the bushes and I always think her anytime I see them. Well, as I walked up to this elk I immediately noticed a Lady bug crawling on him and couldn’t help but see Lula back home smiling for papa-daddy! My heart was full and so grateful for this beast that lay at my feet. 🙏🏼🐞
