My heart is unbelievably full ♥️. When I was 13 years old I wondered if it was possible to start training for High Diving as a teenager. I got my mate @aidan_heslop into the idea and we were quickly doing dives no teenagers were learning, off heights of 15 and 20 meters, bouncing off each other to get better every day. I credit starting at a young age as the reason I’ve been able to go down this journey now. I don’t think I could have made it if I started later. Today I witnessed a practice with 10 divers we have been working with for the last 3 years in Minnesota. All of them diving confidently between 12.5-20 meters doing wonderful things. One of them just got invited to be a Red Bull wildcard in Bosnia. One of them became the youngest girl ever to jump from 20 meters and all of them will be competing in their first high dive competition that we have created this weekend. To grow this sport at the top level we have to grow it at the bottom level. The bigger the population of grassroot, junior, non-professional athletes in a sport, the better it will be at the professional level. I love high diving so much. As an athlete and advocate of the sport I am so excited for the future.
