A morning above the clouds ☁️ These photos were taken over 2 years ago, and it’s still a sunrise I always look back on in awe.
A few tips on how to predict a cloud inversion! ✨
• You are more likely to see them in the fall and winter months when nights are longer 🍂
• They usually form during the night so you have a better chance of seeing them at sunrise 🌅
• Look for partly cloudy conditions, as there needs to be some clouds in the forecast ⛅️
• Humidity needs to be around 85% or higher💧
• There has to be little to no wind 💨
• This may be an obvious tip but you need to hike at elevation, and they usually form in valleys (pictured here) 🏔
Have you seen a cloud inversion before? 💫
