Bye bye Ashley Bickerton. I will always remember your work in the mid eighties. Your show at Sonnabend Gallery in NYC with Jeff Koons and Peter Halley blew my mind. I wrote in 86 or 87 my first art critic piece on your work after a long discussion about your work with the French philosopher Jean Baudrillard. You inspired me to write on art. Your assistant @markdionstudio became my friend and by the way he took this picture of you. You tried to convince us that the planet, the ocean, the power of imagination and dreams are more important than art, hysteria and power. I will never forget you.
