❗️53% of Black mothers say their daughters have experienced Afro hair discrimination from as young as five years old. Over 50% of Black children have been sent home from school for wearing their hair naturally or in a protective style. Race-based hair discrimination is illegal #swipeleft for the statistics. Remember - any school that sends a child home for wearing their hair naturally or in a protective hair style could be constituting "indirect discrimination". This is illegal under the Equality Act 📣
