2-3K steps/day is pure laziness... You have to really TRY to be that sedentary. (Of course, if you’re physically unable to walk, I’m obviously not talking to you) “bUt I’m BuSy 🥴” So you can’t walk to the bathroom, to the end of the hall, around the office, etc. once an hour? You’re not that busy... You’re just not that aware of your surroundings. And it’s much easier to sit at your desk and chat with your coworkers all day than it is to take control of your day. Involve them! Talk to your coworkers while walking around the building. Call a friend. Listen to a podcast or YouTube video. Scroll social media on a walk... Pace around the office. Write that email on your phone l’agile you walk. GET UP. How do you expect to lose any amount of weight when your body doesn’t need to burn very many calories? Start by looking at your Health app on your phone and see how many steps you normally walk each day. Add 1000 to that and that’s your new daily goal. When that gets too easy, add another 1000. And so on... It’s the new year already whether you like it or not.
