Lucky @jonathanjfogel and I managed to snag a seat @owamni today. The @beardfoundation winner features indigenous food, which means no dairy, wheat, flour, cane sugar, beef, chicken etc. Decolonized approach prioritizes buying from indigenous producers. In order here: Red Cliff lake trout & white bean spread; hand harvested wild rice & blue corn mush w/hazelnut and berries; grain bowl w/turkey, Tepary bean, nixtamal, wild rice, quinoa, pesto, seeds; nixtamalized corn taco w/bison, chili & maple vinegar. Last time I was in this dining room was circa 1984, when it was Fuji-ya. This restaurant is truly special.
