An organization calling itself the “National Straight Pride Coalition” is calling on homophobes, white supremacists and “Christian” extremists to gather for a “Straight Pride” hate rally at the Modesto Planned Parenthood — a particularly provocative choice in light of the growing attack on reproductive rights and the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v Wade. Labor and community organizers from Modesto, Merced, Stockton, Tracy, Fresno, Davis, Chico, Sacramento, Bay Area, Los Angeles and beyond will come together in solidarity with women, the LGBTQ community, immigrants, people of color and all those targeted by racism, sexism and bigotry.
