Turning 29 isn't regarded as a momentous birthday, but after this year, I recognize how meaningful it has been for me. Without a doubt, this has been the most challenging period of my life (so far). Society tends to regard life lessons as lovely epiphanies and quotes that yell out positivity; what we fail to notice is all the pain and failure that comes with it. Accepting that you are broken requires a lot of bravery, and to be honest, it is the first step in laying the groundwork for true healing. Running away from your problems is a losing race; instead, I found strength in transforming my mess into a message of wisdom.
