It began in Detroit, MI, where I was diagnosed at the age of 6 with a brain tumor and given less than a year to live. Miraculously, I had a change in diagnosis. I underwent a successful stereotactic surgery and have been seizure-free ever since. Despite facing another diagnosis two years later and near-total hearing loss in my left year, I never let it stop me.
