Inspired by Matisse’s cutouts, the style of this mural combines intricate and colorful abstract stencil backgrounds isolated into shapes that make up bodies, movement and structure. The vibrant yet muted palette conveys a rebirth and resurgence of energy. This mural is an ode to New York City in springtime and love in its many forms. It is a collaboration between New York-born artist Chris Soria and Ukrainian-born artist Misha Tyutyunik, who often work together, pushing the boundaries of their distinctive styles to create new visual dialogues. . . .
