Here Together Kinship @roskildefestival 🌱 Earlier this year we were invited onto a dream project working with young activist groups on Roskilde Festival’s ‘Art x Activism’ programme at the Flokkr stage in partnership with Statens Kunstfond @statenskunstfond and in conjunction with their new CO2 tracking ‘Creative Green Tool’. 

In this video we present some of the elements created by us based on prompts from the activist groups’ workshop ideas. It was moving and energising to experience how these groups came together and engaged visitors in their visions and activist work through the installation. We don’t think art alone will halt the global crisis, but we do believe that art can help build and nurture networks across disciplines - between activism, politics, science and the public - and that this collective conversation and action will be key to solving the issues we’re all facing together. Following the festival, the elements of the installation are designed to become travellable communication tools for the activists to use in the upcoming public political meetings – Folkemødet at Møn (19th August), and Ungdommens Folkemøde in Valby, Copenhagen (8th September), protests, events, workshops and more, culminating in an installation for @graspfest in October. The artwork Here Together Kinship is developed together with the activist groups @dengroenneungdomsbevaegelse, @lgbtdanmark, @fridaysforfuturedenmark and @ungenergi, as well as with a group of artists, architects and designers: @ellayolande, Charlotte Toro, @fievonveer, @emiliestroem, @lucyevafl, @rebekkabank, and light studio @optika.studio.
