If you had told me that I would have gotten an opportunity like this one a month ago, I wouldn’t have believed you. I may have even thought I wasn’t ready or undeserving of something like this - and that feeling would have only deepened had you told me the calibre of people that were on this trip with me. And yet here I am, almost a week after I first touched down in Sydney, still bewildered by the experience. At the start of every year, I always sit and wonder what highs and lows the year will bring. What’s going to happen that I can’t predict? How will I grow? And while the year still has plenty of time to answer those questions, I can say that this trip has been one of the best times of my life. I can also say that my confidence in myself and my drive towards my goals has been irreversibly boosted. I’ll prove it beyond these words but the trajectory has shifted and sharpened. And I owe that largely to the nurturing and affirmation I received from the @converseallstars on this trip. In the span of 5 days, I gained family on this trip. And professionally, I gained tangible reminders that I’m going to make it in the creative media world (as will all the people I met). Additionally, the team behind that facilitated this whole experience were excellent. Not only were they exceedingly competent, but they were kind, friendly, warm and seemed just as excited to be on this journey as we were. It was their demeanour and heart that has convinced me that the people at Converse is doing something different and genuine. What a privilege it was to be flown out by @converse_anz to create and grow my skills. What an honour it was to hear from and work with some the best creatives I’ve seen. And what an absolute blessing it has been to gain what I know will be lifelong friendships. Thank you God for giving me my life in a time like this. And on a slightly cocky note - please understand that I’m unfazed by your doubts.
