The Hopeful Romantic 💋 I think as a society there is so much weight surrounding romantic relationships. While I’m always a lover girl and still want to get married again someday (I’m a hopeless romantic what can I say), I’ve realized that by recentering myself on my own pedestal and decentering romantic relationships my mind has become clearer, I’ve started to understand that I’m whole and I’m no longer searching for someone to complete me or ‘rescue” me. If another person decides to join me on my journey they must provide value just like all the other relationships in my life. I truly believe that a good partner can either make you or break you. This is the first Valentine’s Day that I have so much love in my heart for all the cute photos and decorations but I also don’t feel like I’m missing anything. That alone, is so empowering to me. I have experienced love in so many other areas of my life and for that I’m grateful.
