When you live life at the side of a busy road, everyday becomes a gamble. 🎲 🚗 She has become another victim to this ever-growing statistic of road traffic collisions. It’s not her fault, we know it’s much easier to travel along the side of the road rather than through wet fields or in the thick forest. Maybe she was on the lookout for her next meal or looking for somewhere safe to sleep, whatever her reason for travelling along that busy road, it resulted in horrific consequences. 🩺 Mackro was found lying on the side of the road and in a sorry state. She wasn’t able to move when her rescuers came for her, she had no energy and was in too much pain. Thankfully she was rushed to safety by the compassionate rescuers that found her, and she was immediately taken to the vets where x-rays could be done, and the damage assessed. ❤️‍ Mackro will recover but not before she receives complex surgery to fix her shattered pelvis. She will return to Jai and recover at The Farm and should make a full recovery with time, but this all comes at cost to our rescue.
