Kroger’s Canteen @hardrock100run - Virginius Pass 13,100 feet - mile 32.7. This year’s Kroger’s Canteen will pay homage to Chuck Kroger and Roch Horton who created the lore and myth that now inhabits this unique rock-hewn notch. We’ll have jolly ranchers & extra special sports drink for Chuck, and pierogies and coffee for Rocho - a back-to-basics approach honoring the wild & tough legacy of the Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run. We’ll also be creating a participatory art installation- a canvas with some paint and brushes so that each runner who passes by can add their mark. We’ll harness the collective energy of the field into a single piece that will be auctioned off at the end of the run as a benefit to Footprints Running and their climate action work. @footprintsrunning See y’a out there! *Photos from a 2019 roll of TriX when snow was still a thing in July.
