holding space and solidarity for our iranian little sister, 16 year old Sarina Esmailzadeh. our sister was beaten to death by the "morality police". she was beaten over the head repeatedly with batons at a protest in Karaj.
she had been going to many demonstrations in response to other deaths of young women who were being tortured and beaten in custody by Iran's "morality police " for breaking hijab law. more than 50 security officials were present at her funeral to make sure no one filmed anything or staged an anti-regime protest, officials then removed all photos and messages of condolences from the wall of her home the following day. our sister Sarina enjoyed painting, playing sports, reading books, and she took up vlogging in January of this year.
Sarina, hey lil sis, you were only 16, you didn’t deserve this, I lové you, we lové you, we will never forget you. there’s some amazing painters and athletes in up there in heaven for you to learn from, we’re thinking of you heavy down here! <\3, the second photo really hurts, you can just feel the light in her personality.
if you live in iran, please keep messaging me, if you’re able to, i love you very much.
ps : don’t forget the trans women/queer women/GNC siblings who are also in these spaces, please.
