Solidarity w those not able or ready to be out in public, those who don’t feel like they can make anything good or play a show or do just about anything except survive one day at a time, those working all the time bcuz what you want to be doing does not provide a living wage, anyone who is witnessing death and suffering day after day with no immediate end in sight. I am obviously the type of person who tends to feel sorry for myself, and that is never flattering, but I can’t help but think recently that I really am feeling very sorry for all of us. Unable to connect, unable to be soft and open and joyful and understood, and instead becoming hard and hurt and more desperate. I am happy to see those defying this and doing their best to get out and connect and empathize, but I really feel for anyone unable to even make it that far, those who are mostly still at home, if they are lucky enough to have one, because they have to be, or because there is no imaginable way out. It’s so easy to continue in isolation and grow further pained, warped and distant. I am so sympathetic for every living thing. I know as well as anyone that there isn’t some perfect divine solution, but I believe that there must some better way to do all this, like, at least a little bit. For whatever it’s worth, I am hopeful that this belief exists somewhere in you as well. You are a perfect living bubbling universe of god-sex-goop. connecting and softening and sharing with others is likely our only way to refine the sharp confusing life we have together into something less painful. maybe fruitful, even joyful. Get therapy and take medications. These things aren’t always easy to get. I am in no way a medical professional, but If you need anecdotal help navigating clinics and health insurance/non-insured options for individuals with little money, I am happy to share my experience and some “secret” tips.
