̃”*°•.Dreams Are All I Have .•°*” ̃ For Bodies of Knowledge for @showstudio ✨ @showstudio approached me to make a short video piece on dreams for Bodies of Knowledge. ⭐️ I rarely dreamt when I was younger but when I did they were very vivid. Cinematic nearly. They were an occasional delight, or horror at times, but they really stayed with me and made some deeper emotions clearer to me. My mother whose dreams have always been explosive and transformative for her, told me dreams where like a compass. You should sit with them and listen to them. She believes dreams to be prophetic and is adamant that they are bestowed upon her by God. They are messages or lessons to be learnt. Hints. Clues. I’m not sure if I feel the same way but the fact of dreams being a bridge to something that is not yet but could be did stick with me!! I went in with the intention of communicating that dreams could be more than just an accumulation of the detritus of our daily lives. Dreams as the things we experience when we close our eyes at night but also the things we hope for and wake up every day to actualise. Dreams are transcendental by nature and have the power to fuel one to actualise an alternative timeline to one that is.
