I have an embarrassment of riches in quotes from friends for Before I Let Go that I'll be sharing between now and release day, but it's only right that I share Colleen's first since she was the first person to read this book beyond my editors and accuracy/beta readers. We sent it to her and in maybe a week I had a text message from her saying how much she loved it. That she stayed up late reading it. She had a houseful of volunteers working on a project for the Bookworm Box so was it okay if she sent a quote a little later? I'm like . . .you're getting ready for a charitable book project that donates thousands of dollars to worthy causes every year. You just came off your own deadline and you have an assembly line of volunteers packing boxes that you're about to assist, (not to mention you're one of the most successful authors . . .well, ever), and you found time to read my book and encourage me immediately with this amazing text message? With this being a book about marriage redemption, we even talked about our own marriages and the things we faced as young couples starting out. She is one of the most human humans I've ever met and I'm so grateful to know her. And that she liked my book is a huge bonus! Whoop!!!
