I’m truly blessed to have just finished my 10th year as a professional performer. I count my blessings every day and am forever grateful for every opportunity to share my talents, skill & gifts with the world. Thank you to everyone who has given me an opportunity and thank you to those who have come out and supported a project that I’ve been lucky enough to work on, I am grateful. When I walked away from the full time company life in 2018, I walked away from dance and picked up a camera. I spent 10 years carving out a name in the dance scene which was heavily on the back of a well established company that it became my identity. I would be greeted by “this is Luke, he dances with...” like my job was who I am. I resented it. I was more than my job and who I worked for at the time! I felt pigeon holed not only to a genre/artform but to an org. I had lost my love for the company and for dancing. Who was I without dance How would people introduce me without a company attached to my name. I went searching for a new love! It’s safe to say I have found many new loves, photography, poetry, mentoring, hosting and modelling but I’m grateful to say I have found my love for dance and performing again thanks to many people giving me the opportunity to create and explore who I AM as an artist not bound by a signature style. I was a dancer in 2012 I became an artist in 2018. So thank you. Thank you to those that gave me time, space and freedom to explore my artistry.
