We’re finally writing up final thoughts on the Dieux duo: the Deliverance serum and Instant Angel moisturizer. Deliverance: ($69/1oz.) this is a thin, milky gel serum designed to soothe, replenish, and support the skin currently and over time. Sounds simple enough, yet we find this to genuinely do what it says it’s going to, especially when used as recommended, which is twice daily. We haven’t seen any fine line improvement with this yet (but that will take more time, so it’s expected), but we have noticed an overall even-ness that we’d typically see from products like NIOD VM, NIOD CAIL, Cipher Night Shift, etc. It’s a subtle smoothness and glow, you know? Instant Angel: ($45/1.59oz.) this is the star of the show for us. We stopped talking about it for a couple weeks as Sarah was saving it for her move, and now, she’s fallen in love with it a second time. We can’t really think of a moisturizer quite like this. It has a very thin lotion texture that (similar to Phytosurgence VF), is quite stretchy in that you only need a tiny amount to adequately cover your skin, but in contrast to VF, it can be layered upon itself multiple times to increase moisture benefit without getting heavy. This may be because we don’t find it to be a particularly occlusive option, which we’re realizing more and more these days we don’t care for anyway (that may change in the winter though!). It gives the skin everything it needs for full, lasting moisture maintenance throughout the day or night, and it sits under other products really well—well enough to act as a fantasy makeup primer. As you can see, we’re on board with Dieux. The products are unique and thoughtful in their purpose, flexible to use within a practical routine, and very cute lol.
