This little part is called happiness 🤍😭 Checking in on my September goals I shared last week, and I’ve intentionally put my phone down right when I get home from work to be fully present with my family and that small change has made a world of a difference. When I got home from work earlier this week, Evan usually follows me upstairs and hangs out with me while I unpack and change, and this time he asked “Mommy, can you please play with me after you’re done?” 🥹😭 Of course my heart melted and broke at the same time, because all that our babies want from us is our love, attention, and time. I took a step back and realized just how much I need to be fully present when I’m with them. I’m normally out for 13-14 hours of the day, so those few hours I get with my kids before bedtime are crucial. I can’t tell you how excited Evan got when we played together ❤️ We played with his legos and built cool boats and houses, we read lots of books and sang songs, and he even told me about his day and his best friends at school. Elliette is thriving so well in school too and talks a lot, loves to show me the new things she can do, and was so excited to play with us. It’s these small moments that genuinely make me happy and thankful for this life. They are my world 🌍😍 Hope you all are having a great week so far, friends!
