As a certified Montessori educator, one of the reasons I started this account was that I felt there was an increasing awareness of Montessori online, but that the focus was being misinterpreted. That bothered me. Montessori was getting confused with something that looked a lot like consumerism. I was hearing people make long shopping lists filled with the newest (and often expensive) gadgets but not stopping to learn more about the why's of the philosophy. Montessori is not a trend. It's been around for over 100 years and I believe the basis of it really lies in: being in tune with your child, treating them with respect and giving them the tools to prepare them for the world around them 🌎 *SAVE* this reminder: There's so much of Montessori that is completely free and doesn't involve materials at all. It DOES involve a shift in perspective. This to me is the best place to start when it comes to applying the philosophy at home 💗
