I’ve never been someone to gatekeep work that resonates with me, nor resources that have helped me. A big reason I started my event series ROOTED was to connect different creatives I’ve been lucky enough to meet through work. There’s also a lot of objectively good and impactful work that isn’t my cup of tea but that doesn’t diminish it’s value to the industry or culture. We are not a monolithic identity. We have incredibly diverse experiences, adversity and stories. All of them matter. My intention is always to uplift and amplify.
