Earlier this year we were invited onto a dream project working with young activist groups on Roskilde Festival’s ‘Art x Activism’ programme at the FLOKKR stage in partnership with Statens Kunstfond’s new CO2 tracking ‘Creative Green Tool’. The first phase of this half-year collaboration was at Roskilde Festival where we transformed the Flokkr stage into a soft, dynamic and vibrant space built with upcycled materials and co-created with other artists and young activists. The space – Here Together Kinship – was a ceremonial gathering space between art and activism and a sci-fact wormhole into the futures we imagine together today. Following the festival, the elements of the installation are designed to become travellable communication tools for the activists to use in the upcoming public political meetings – Folkemødet at Møn (19th August), and Ungdommens Folkemøde in Valby, Copenhagen (8th September), protests, events, workshops and more, culminating in an installation for @graspfest in October. The artwork Here Together Kinship is developed together with the activist groups @dengroenneungdomsbevaegelse, @lgbtdanmark @fridaysforfuturedenmark and @ungenergi, as well as with a group of artists, architects and designers: @ellayolande, Charlotte Toro, @fievonveer, @emiliestroem, @lucyevafl, @rebekkabank and light studio @optika.studio.
