(Current cleansing routine below) I used to wash my face 1x, dry with the towel and there would be makeup residue on the towel. At the time, I didn’t think anything of it and went to bed. The next day I would have breakouts. I thought I was allergic to makeup, but really I just wasn’t washing my face well enough. Now, I wash 2, 3 sometimes 4x... the key to doing this without irritating the skin is to use gentle, non-stripping cleansers, a ph balancing toner and hydrating products after cleansing. My current cleansing routine: 1. Micellar Water - @biodermausa is formulated for sensitive skin, respects the skin barrier, is fragrance-free. Love, love, love this one. 
 2. Oil Cleanse - @Shuuemura ultime8 oil cleanser is the GOAT for me, but damn she’s pricey. I recently started using @kravebeauty ’s Makeup Re-Wined jelly oil cleanser and LOVE IT. It emulsifies really well removing makeup, dirt and sebum. 
 3. Oil Cleanse - I like to do my oil cleanser 2x. The second time around I’ll give extra attention to removing makeup around areas like my hairline, nose creases, jawline. 
 4. Foaming Cleanser - @lovephilosophy ’s Pore Purifying Foaming Cleanser is Out. Of. This. World. There, I said it. It’s a gentle glycolic acid cleanser that decongests the pores on my nose and brightens my pigment spots. I’ve actually seen my brightening serums work better at lightening my melasma (which has darkened due to summer activities) since incorporating this cleanser. Does this sound crazy?
