Duncan Roy. World class ocean rowing coach, world record holder (many times over), phenomenal waterman, Yorkshireman (everyone has faults 😉), and someone I'm very proud to call a good friend. 🥰 • Dunc swung by ours to catch up and grab a brew a few weeks ago, and it was lovely to see his face! I met Duncan whilst I was helping out with the launch of a Monkey Fist Adventures row a few years ago. Whilst the team were prepping for their push off, Duncan arrived in the same Lanzarote marina after helping with a different boat. Couldnt have been a more ocean-rowing-centric meeting of two people! • Beers were had, stories were shared, bonds were made. We spent the next few days staying at the wonderful @sandrapickersgill and @masonphilipclive 's house and talking their, and each other's, ears off before flying home. 🛫 • Quite honestly, meeting Duncan was a life changing experience - he enjoyed the social media story telling I did for Monkey Fist, and asked me to do the story telling on his row around Great Britain.
