Being a confessed chocoholic, getting fit was always my way to balance my love of sweet things. The benefits of working out are beautiful, from the connection to the body, the feeling of being fully in the moment during the session & the rush of endorphins after. But as I learnt, doing it to be seen by others or to be validated as being enough, even once I’d reached peak conditioning with a six pack in toe is unfortunately where it swung into becoming an unhealthy obsession that needed to be balanced.
