Last month, I had the honor of performing and sharing my story at the @the_abta National Conference. It was an incredible experience standing in front of brain tumor survivors, patients undergoing treatment, and their caregivers. I’ve never felt more nervous on stage, but the warmth and support from everyone made me feel completely at home. During my own treatment, I wasn’t aware of the ABTA or the amazing resources they provide. I wish I had been! Their work and advocacy truly go above and beyond. As attendees enjoyed their lunch, I opened up about my journey, played a few songs, and even shared some laughs. I wasn’t sure if I’d rush through it or ramble, but I ended up delivering 40 minutes of stories and music. You can check out the full talk and performance in the link in my bio.
