Favorite stage moment of @sleighbells tour week 2: @alexiskrauss said, “We’ve been playing this one for 12 years and it’s been feeling really special lately.” In the pause right before the song started, a sweet woman against the barricade with bright yellow nails with sunflowers on them asked loudly in the most wholesome voice, “What song are you going to play?” Alexis bent down, complimented her nails and said quietly and sweetly, “It’s a surprise.” Alexis asked her name which was Melinda and said this one was for her. We started Rill Rill and Melinda shrieked with joy right into the mic and flailed her arms. We laughed through most of verse one. Thank you all for your joy.
