⭐️ this broken piece of yard ⭐️ Very late to post this but i had the pleasure of contributing to this broken piece of yard after being invited by @cairoc to a beautiful working group she facilitated during her time at @luxmovingimage. Sharing space during this time was so healing and holding. I shared some writing and thinking I produced whilst making Pre-interopia. It felt like a vulnerable and beautiful gesture to share the more intimate origins of the work 💖 this broken piece of yard ✨ was born out of exploring the history of LUX (formerly the London Filmmakers Co-op); navigating the lived conditions of Covid-19 and global uprisings in defence of Black life - together culminating in asking "what do we want from arts organisations now?" and "what do we want to bring into being?"
