Sanitation tip... Keep an extra set handy! 🧼
@mattyconrad has some barbering basics hygiene guidelines:
"1) Clean your tools after every use with a brush to remove debris and use a clippercide
2) Soak your combs and brushes in barbecide for at least 10 mins after each use. Make sure to remove any debris first... don’t foul up the blue blaster.
3) On any tools like razors, handles, or anything that comes in contact with blood or pathogens use SANITARY SPRAY (or any high concentration Alcohol to sterilize)
4) Keep a “clean drawer” and only put sanitized tools in it. Keep it closed to prevent any debris from contaminating the contents. Clean everything thoroughly before it goes back in.
5) Keep your combs in a plastic tray... it keeps them organized and clean
6) Sweep up after every client, dust off and Wipe the chair with a decent cleanser (especially the handles and headrests).
7) USE SANEKS those little strips are to protect your client from the bacteria on a multi-use cape - I prefer a single use cape that can be laundered because it’s more hygienic
8) WASH YOUR HANDS people think gloves are more hygienic... but if you put them on with dirty hands they aren’t. So wash your hands first.
9) Anything that hits the floor is instantly dead. It must be cleaned sanitized before you use it. There is no 5-second rule in a barbershop."
NO 5-second rule, grab your sanitation products and extra set of clipper guards in-store, online, in the app, or salon consultant would be happy to help! 🧼
