It’s scape season! Every June this twirly flowering shoot emerges from the overwintered garlic plant, then we snap them off one by one (about 15,000 of them). Enjoy them while they're here, (Pesto! On the grill! In a salad! Sautéed with greens!) then on to the “real” garlic harvest in July!
