Italian Christmas Pizzelles are a must make for the holidays! They are yummy and so fun to make. They are the star of a cookie platter! My girls love to call them snowflake cookies.✨❄️ Fav Pizzelle iron linked in my bio! I highly recommend getting this from Amazon!🙌 This Recipe was passed to me by my Italian mother in law and they are the best! Stay tuned for more holiday recipes. Recipe 🎄 3 1/2cups of flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp salt 1 1/4 cup of sugar 1 1/2 sticks of butter softened at room temperature 5 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract Optional- 1/2 tsp of anis or up to 1 tsp depending on how strong you would like the flavor. I make them with just the vanilla extract for the holidays. We have other cookies that have anis flavor to them. Avocado oil spray to coat the iron! Powdered sugar and sanding sugar sprinkles to decorate Directions🎄 In a bowl add flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together. Using a stand mixer beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time until fully incorporated. Add vanilla and mix again. On low speed gradually add in dry ingredients until well blended. The dough is soft and sticky. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Heat your iron and spray with cooking spray. Using a cookie scoop take around 1 1/2- 2 tbsp of cookie dough and roll into balls. If using sprinkles take dough balls and roll into the sprinkles. Place onto iron and close. Count to 30 everytime and you will have perfect Pizzelles. Using a fork remove the cookies from the iron and place onto a cooling rack. Top with powdered sugar! Enjoy! #christmascookies #baking #holidaybaking #christmasdesserts #amazonmusthaves
