Our cover story for the September issue of @elledecor SO much emotion goes into the design of someone’s personal space. For this dining room I wanted it soft, sexy and tonal. The walls were painted in a color reminiscent of candlelight to create a lush glow. The soulful vintage light fixture we found with it’s brass patina and taupe Murano glass started as the foundation of the room. It omits a soft golden glow throughout the room. I want my clients to look stunning in their spaces! I fabricated billowy linen drapes for a romantic feel. For long family gatherings I found the vintage ivory colored dining table and sculptural Dan Johnson chairs. My clients art was so breathtaking and brought it all together. When I am designing... I always imagine how the story I create lives on...the music playing in the background or the smell of spices from a slow dinner lingering. I obsess over things...can the table handle the puddle of candle wax dripping down after long conversations through the night?
