Reestablishing a brand, launching it, and then producing an event for it is no easy feat. ⁣⁣We are never too old to grow, be put on game, or be reminded. Here are the top 10 things I've recently learned: ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ When working with brands, remember that the agency is the middleman. When pitching an partnership idea make sure you are talking to the decision maker (i.e. "the check signer"). Because if not, sometimes we are wasting our time going in circles with people without influence, lack the will to advocate or who don't actually call the shots to green light your pitch. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ Everyone on your team will not work at the same pace nor have the same energy as you and that is TOTALLY FINE. However, as a squad, the work styles do have to complement each other. Remember, there cannot be harmony if everyone is singing the same note. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ There is a difference between micromanaging and verifying. My approach has always been trust, but verify. ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ Tap into the comminity that you have at your fingertips. A lot of times the help we need is just a phone call/text away. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ Prepare your heart and try not to take things personal. You will get more NO's than YES's. Its difficult to explain a giraffe vision to a turtle. Some people will never get it... ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ When working on a production or project outside of your home base, always hire someone locally in that city who is tapped in to be your eyes and ears "on the ground" (I learned this priceless gem from working w @diddy ). ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ If it doesn't feel right, move on. PERIOD⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ I will never understand the concept of having to "chase people down" to provide an opportunity because they lack business acumen. Somethings are teachable moments, and others are waste of your time. Fumbling the bag is at a all time high these days 🤯⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✅ Remember your WHY. ♥️ There will be times in business when you feel frustrated, defeated, and overwhelmed. Those are the moments when you want to just give up. But remember, tough times don't last for long and the only difference with people who SUCCEED is that they don't give up 🔑⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✅And last, Entrepreneurship is mastering the art of playing the long game. 💎⁣
