I’ve been keeping to myself a lot lately. I haven’t been playing out much. Mostly I’ve been doing my work from home which I am so thankful for, taking care of myself and my family, and making this baby inside me. As I head into my third trimester, the recent decision from the Supreme Court feels especially hurtful, insulting and enraging. I have many privileges to be thankful for but I’m not ignorant to my rights nor the personal boundaries of my body. I’m CHOOSING to bring new life into the world and that is my right. That is a human right. It’s not for any court or state to decide that for me — or anyone! I wish I could announce this under better circumstances. We are so excited and I can’t wait to love and protect my new babe and help guide them through the struggles of life — but right now, the impending compromise to personal freedom and erosion of privacy is a tough pill to swallow.
